BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release (BBTR) Certified Practitioner  Breath-work Training is recognized and accredited by the American Association Of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). This training consists of series of workshops, 7 days each and is broken down into 4 modules: 

Basic Training part 1&2, and Advanced Training (AT) part 3&4.

The AT includes an internship, special skills workshops, and supervised training hours. At the end of each training module students will receive a certificate from the BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release Institute (an international institution based in New York City, USA). Upon completing a minimum of 200 hours of theory and practice, students will have an opportunity to become certified with AADP and become a member with associated benefits.

BioDynamic Breath® is built on a new approach to Trauma Release, with specific conscious movement, touch techniques, and non-cathartic emotional release techniques as its foundations. This Training is designed to break through the many layers of body armoring, releasing mental, emotional and physical resistance down to the core, while reducing ones deeply imprinted primal conditioning. BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release® enables you to experience the full range of sensations and emotions available to a human being, whist expanding your capacity to contain and support the free flow of life-force energy. This work provides restructuring at a cellular level, supporting the opening of the spine and ultimately transforming you into an increasingly present, conscious and joyous being. You open deeper to acceptance of yourself and others, and in doing so begin to celebrate life to its fullest.

The BioDynamic Breath and Trauma Release® Certified Practitioner Training is fully experiential in nature, and therefore is a deep personal and group healing process, as well as a training. It is open to anyone wishing to receive a solid base for working with breath and trauma release as well for those who simply wish to heal their past trauma and experience life to its highest potential. It is a perfect opportunity for yoga students and teachers, psychologists, body workers and therapists to deepen their understanding and experience of the workings of the body and respiration system, while learning how to support others on their path of transformation with this profound holistic modality.

Basic Training - Part 1 

During the Basic Training Part 1, you will begin to master the art of moving deeply into the body, facilitating trauma release with skill and sensitivity. During exposure to traumatic events we lose our connection to feeling and the sense of being grounded, resulting in tension, numbness, and a disconnection from the universal life force energy (prana). Re-establishing this sense of inner safety is what makes trauma release possible.

In Part One of this training we will work with creating a "safe container": a feeling of safety in your physical body. This container allows you to feel your full unrestricted energy flow without being overwhelmed by it. During this module we grow our understanding of the effects that trauma has on a human being. We examine the anatomy and physiology of trauma and the body. Working with breathing and movement, we begin to unlock and release the tension patterns held in the nervous and muscular systems. You will be supported to create a "container" within yourself where you can complete the body's interrupted impulses caused by traumatic events. This will lay the foundation for a deeper opening allowing your true potential to manifest. By working with each other we establish trust, which is by far the most important quality in a breath oriented trauma release process. We can then begin to develop the sensitivity necessary to support a BioDynamic Trauma Release breath session.

Basic Training - Part 2 

In this module we move deeper into letting go of self-limiting ideas that restrict our body and mind, and open up to new ways of expression through the body. This develops a direct mind-body-spirit connection, allowing the body’s innate intelligence to be your guide and your teacher. This training is about embodying your own energy and further self discovery and learning. We use a unique combination of BioDynamic Breathing, acupressure, bodywork, energetic expression, conscious movement, somatic experiencing, myofascial energetic release and unwinding, sound and meditation to release deep patterns in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body. We deepen our understanding of how to structure a series of breath sessions to facilitate permanent trauma release. As we explore the body's soft tissue layers and nervous system, we regain the natural flexibility of the spinal column. Blocked energy in the form of shortened, hardened tissue begins to release, providing us with incredible amounts of energy which supports the process of healing and transformation, allowing us to relate authentically to each other as fully embodied individuals.

After completing Basic Training Parts 1&2, and before beginning Advanced Training, students are required to offer 25 practice sessions free of charge in exchange for feedback (from the volunteer) in order to gain further and deeper hands-on experience. They will receive online support from the facilitators periodically.

Advanced Training – part 3 & 4.

The advanced training consists of a hands-on internship, supervised hours, and special skills workshops. Advanced trainees are invited to return to assist in basic trainings part 1&2 as interns to deepen their learning experience. Interns will meet with the facilitators each day, examining specific case studies, analyzing situations as they arise, and clarifying particulars of this modality. Trainees can extend the workshop by 2 days to receive personal attention of the facilitators to support their further learning and gaining of experience. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to participate in special skills workshops (e.g. giving sessions in water, using specially designed props, broadening the use of bodywork techniques to support a session, etc.). Advanced trainees also receive online training to support them in their personal practice outside of the group.

One’s own personal development process combined with the knowledge and experience gained within the trainings will give advanced trainees all the tools necessary to facilitate others on the path of trauma healing at the physical, emotional and spiritual levels of transformation. Upon successful completion of this program students will be qualified and certified to offer sessions as a BBTR practitioner.
